The Kyle Centre is being transformed into a key leisure destination for Ayr and the wider Area. This project involved the redevelopment of four existing units to create a class 11 Gym on the ground floor.
The four units were isolated and stripped out in their entirety back to a Fire Rated Shell.
All of the existing shopfronts were removed and filled in to maintain compartmentation, the infills were formed in blockwork so will form a permanent demise wall for the new tenant.
To the Mall side the walls were lined and decorated. Each of the four existing units had steel stairs that were removed (from Ground to First Floor) and permanently infilled using steelwork and decking.
New drainage and a self-levelling compound were installed across the full unit area to provide a level and sound surface for the tenant to work from.
Within the First floor the existing partitions were retained and new M&E services installed to provide a functioning floor area.
A new Ramp was installed to accommodate the new entrance to the Gym. Upon completion a fire rated unit with new screeded floor was provided.
