The Barcelo Highland Hotel on the North Bridge in Edinburgh provides luxury accommodation for tourists and business travellers in a spectacular city centre location.
The main aim of the project was to refurbish the North elevation of the building. This required a 60m high scaffold to allow access to strip and replace roof slating and leadwork, carry out stone repairs to the facade and refurbish and repaint all windows.
The walkway on the north façade at 3rd floor level required demolition, structural alterations and reinstatement.
The internal works consisted of rot eradication works on the lower five floors, and the subsequent reinstatement of all finishes.
We also refurbished the Waverly Function Suite— restoring it to its former glory.
